Seven consecutive calendar days leave may be granted to those employees who get married during the school term. These seven days include Saturday and Sunday and must include the date of marriage. This week cannot be extended on the grounds that the school was closed during the week for a church holiday, public holiday etc. The first seven days are with pay. An employee may be granted an additional seven days unpaid leave immediately following the paid leave of absence. All applications must be made in writing to the Principal/Head of Centre or by e-mail to
personnel@cdetb.ie
not less than six weeks prior to the commencement of the leave.
