Certified Sick Leave -
A medical certificate is required on the 4th day of absence. (Example: If a staff member is absent on a Friday and the following Monday, they must submit a medical certificate.)
Uncertified Sick Leave -
An individual will be paid for 7 days self-certified sick leave over 2 years.
Permanent Administrative have an entitlement to 3 months sick leave on full pay followed by 3 months on half pay.
Staff on long-term sick leave must submit medical certificates regularly.
A monthly medical certificate is the maximum that may be accepted.
CDETB cannot accept open-ended medical certificates.
Staff paying a full PRSI (A stamp) must claim Disability Benefit from the Department of Family & Social Affairs and submit cheques to the CDETB Banking Section.
Failure to return disability benefit cheques to the CDETB will mean that CDETB will recoup this payment from your salary.
