The Springboard+ upskilling initiative in higher education offers free and subsidised courses (90% subsidised!) at certificate, degree and masters level leading to qualifications in areas where there are employment opportunities in the economy. It is open to those who are unemployed and those in employment.

There are courses available at Levels 6,7,8 and 9. I've attached the full list of courses available, there may be one that will support you in your current role, or one which will help you to upskill in a completely different area! I’ve attached the lists of courses available.

All queries are made directly to the university in question.

Access to the CDU Moodle resources space:

For access to all continuing professional development resources and supports, you can refer to our Curriculum Development Unit's Moodle Site. If you are not currently registered on this site, you should contact our Senior Librarian, Dr. Eva Hornung directly on eva.hornung@cdu.cdetb.ie. This site is the main repository for all Professional Learning and Development opportunities in City of Dublin ETB. It houses training, supports and resources on 0365, Moodle, Blended Learning, Social and Emotional Learning, Pedagogy, TEL tools, supports and resources on UDL and for students wtih additional learning needs and supports from the psychological service. There are also resources available for some QQI modules. This resource is available for all staff, academic and non-academic. It is a work in progress and will be continuously updated and added to. Many of the resources have been developed by City of Dublin ETB staff, for City of Dublin ETB staff.

The Department of Education and Skills will not sanction the payment of fees by City of Dublin ETB for courses which lead to a qualification that attracts an allowance within the incremental pay scale.
