Appointment of Teachers

All City of Dublin ETB teaching positions, other than casual short-notice positions, are filled following advertisement in the national press and competitive interview.  All teaching appointments are to the City of Dublin Education and Training Board scheme.  In this regard a teacher may be assigned to any school or college within the scheme and may, in subsequent years and subject to certain agreed protocols, be transferred within the scheme.

All Permanent Wholetime Teachers (PWT), Pro-rata Part-time Teachers (PRT), Non-Casual Part-time Teachers (NCPT) and Casual Part-time Teachers (CPT) appointed by the City of Dublin ETB must be fully qualified for the position they hold and must be registered with Teaching Council.

All Non Casual/ Casual and Part-time Teachers must complete and submit the following documents before commencing employment with the City of Dublin ETB -
